Cassandra Allison

Staff Attorney
Headshot of Cassandra Allison

Cassandra has been advocating for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault since 2008.  Before joining FVAP, Cassandra was a trial attorney at Family Violence Law Center in Oakland, where she assisted survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through all stages of the civil restraining order process.  During this time, Cassandra also represented survivors of campus assault at Title IX proceedings, with a focus on appeals.

A graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, Cassandra has held a number of internship positions at government and non-profit agencies, including the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, and Amnesty International USA.  During law school, Cassandra also participated in USF’s Frank C. Newman International Human Rights Law Clinic, which gave her the opportunity to lobby on issues of food security and gender-based violence at both the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women and the U.N. Human Rights Council.
