Little Hoover Commission (2024) Implementation Review: Intimate Partner Violence

In 2019, the Little Hoover Commission began examining California’s response to intimate partner violence, a horrific form of abuse that has a tragic and lasting impact on the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities throughout our state. The Commission released two reports, one in 2020 and one in 2021, detailing steps the state should take to strengthen its response to the violence. This report gauges how well the state has done with particular emphasis on firearms and economic security and housing.
