Description
DVRO renewals should be granted unless (1) the request is contested, and (2) the judge determines the protected party does not have a "reasonable apprehension of future abuse;" Rejecting "imminent danger" standard for RO renewal - objective fear of further abuse is sufficient; Trial court does not have the power to terminate firearm ownership restrictions that follow from issuance of a DVRO
