Video Training: 2021 Domestic Violence Case Law

January 19, 2022

The presenters will cover specific cases published in 2021 by the California Courts of Appeal and the federal Ninth Circuit Court that affect survivors of domestic violence. The presenters will go over the important facts in the cases, what the court decided, how it came to its decision and how these cases can affect survivors of domestic violence in the future. The selected cases reviewed include domestic violence and other restraining orders, child custody and visitation, dependency and child welfare, housing and employment.  Lawyers and anti-domestic violence advocates will hear about key points that can be used or may be considered when survivors go to court on these matters.
